Project: Tunda Mia (Tomatoe Bill) Date: 25th April 2018

Introduction

Tunda Mia is a food production initiative where the ultimate goal is for everyone to be able to grow their own food that they need from the day they were born. The day you were born can be abstract like for example the day you were born is taken to mean the day you first heard about Tunda Mia. The first Initiative is Tomatoe Bill which will be discussed in this document.
Imagine being able to feed yourself. Not many are able to say that they can do this; this is what Tunda Mia is all about, Empowering people to feed themselves.

Situation Analysis

Many of us Youth find ourselves unable to feed ourselves hence seeking employment so that we can take care of ourselves. Tunda Mia addresses this problem by showing the youth that you can grow your own food as well as make income from it.
Tunda Mia is going to be huge; initiatives of publicity are a necessary step to get the youth aware of how they can sustain themselves hence saving money and resources. The first steps however discussed in this document will address how to grow tomatoes.

Problem Statement

Youth find themselves mentally barred when they face taking care of themselves, where will the money come from? They often turn to employment applying but not getting employed, this adds to stress and sickness is a result. They need to be able to take care of themselves but need more answers instead of just regular employment

Objectives

1.      Create a profitable tomatoe farm at Boko.
2.      Create a similar profitable farm at Kigamboni when you save up to purchase a farm.
3.      Write up similar project documents for other vegetables.
4.      Create a publicity plan.

Outputs

Here is a short list of the desired outputs:
A1 – Individual able to achieve self-sustenance throw growing own food.
A2 – Promising publicity initiative able to reach the world with the successes of the individual.

Monitoring and Evaluation

The Crop will be checked daily while watering to ascertain its health. In terms of income we will be planting 9 sections of 40m squared. Every 2m squared will have 32 crops which are projected to yield 36 tomatoes that means 1,152 tomatoes from each section and this times 20 is 23,040 tomatoes per section. We will sell each tomatoe at 100/= so 2,304,000/= is to be made per section yielding 20,736,000/= this is good profit even if you yield half the amount it is still 10 million.

Indicators

An individual needs 1,000,000/= to live comfortably by him/herself. The profits here are 20 times that meaning the individual will not only sustain their selves but their families as well as other people. This is an indicator of 2000% success!

Conclusion

Tunda Mia can be the way out of poverty for many youth to take. I recommend this project to anyone looking to get out of not being able to sustain their selves.

The Origins of the Bantu People

The lost Tribe of the Hadzabe

THere are so many tribes out there but these indigenous minorities are fading away unless we do something about it.

living around Lake Eyasi in the central Rift Valley and in the neighboring Serengeti Plateau the Hadzabe are hunters.

There are, between 1,200 and 1,300 Hadza people living in Tanzania (2015 estimate). They do not have any genetic blood ties with the Tanzanian people because their way of life is much different to ours. While traditionally classified with the Khoisan languages, primarily because it has clicks, the Hadza language appears to be an isolate, unrelated to any other. As descendants of Tanzania's aboriginal hunter-gatherer population, they have probably occupied their current territory for thousands of years, with relatively little modification to their basic way of life until the past hundred years.
