3D Printers

3D printers are the new thing in town. Imagine you can design anything you want from toy spare parts to bottles, spoons,etc. You name it a 3D printer will print it.

How it works

1 - Design a 3D design in a software (a good 3D design software is 123D Design),
2 - Make sure the design is what you want it to be (pay attention to size).
3 - Print the file by saving the '.stl' file onto a memory card and selecting it on the printer.

How can I get a 3D Printer

3D printers which are about 20 cm3 print size can cost anywhere from $ 300. If you know of someone who owns a printer you could ask them to print you some of your designs but the plastic used to print is costly and printing for 1 hour costs $ 50.
